The Charlotte Chess Center (CCC) is one of the most respected chess institutions in the southeastern United States. Founded in 2014, the CCC is devoted to chess education and event organization, with a team of instructors that includes Charlotte-based grandmasters, making it the most highly qualified coaching staff in the Southeast.
Operating from two locations in North and South Charlotte, the CCC offers a comprehensive range of programs including USCF-rated tournaments, group and private coaching, summer camps, school programs, and club meetups. Their North Branch, opened in September 2023, extends their reach to communities across North Charlotte, University City, Concord, and the Lake Norman area.
The CCC serves players of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners taking their first lessons to experienced tournament competitors. Their commitment to building a strong chess community in Charlotte has earned them recognition as one of the top chess clubs in the United States.
