Indian Chess Federation
The All India Chess Federation (AICF) is the official governing body for chess in India and a member of FIDE. As the national federation of the world's second-highest-rated chess nation, the AICF oversees a rapidly growing chess ecosystem that has produced legends like Viswanathan Anand, Praggnanandhaa, and World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju.
The AICF organizes national and international chess championships, manages player registrations through its Player Registration System (PRS), coordinates arbiter training programs, and publishes chess news and event calendars. India's chess infrastructure has expanded dramatically in recent years, with the AICF at the center of that growth.
With India consistently ranked among the top two chess federations globally by average rating, the AICF plays a critical role in developing the next generation of Indian chess talent through grassroots programs and national competitions.
