Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa is an Indian Grandmaster and one of the brightest young stars in chess. He became the youngest International Master in history at age 10 and earned his GM title at 12, making him one of the youngest grandmasters ever at the time.
Praggnanandhaa has rapidly established himself in the elite tier of chess, with victories over Magnus Carlsen and other top-ranked players. He reached the finals of the 2023 FIDE World Cup and has been a consistent presence in super-tournaments. He is competing in the 2026 Candidates Tournament, his second Candidates cycle.
