Anna Rudolf
IM & Chess Creator
Anna Rudolf is a Hungarian International Master (IM) and Woman Grandmaster (WGM) who has become one of the most recognizable faces in chess broadcasting and content creation. A three-time Hungarian Women's Chess Champion (2008, 2010, 2011) and European Junior Women's Rapid Champion, she represented Hungary at three Chess Olympiads and reached a peak FIDE rating of 2393.
Since stepping away from competitive chess in 2017, Rudolf has built a full-time career in chess media. She commentated the 2018 World Chess Championship alongside Judit Polgar, and has become a regular broadcaster for Chess.com and chess24 at major tournaments. In 2025, she hosted the official Norway Chess broadcast alongside Viswanathan Anand and Christian Chirila.
Rudolf's YouTube channel has grown to over 200,000 subscribers with more than 15 million views, while her Twitch channel has attracted 286,000 followers. She collaborates regularly with top chess creators including Hikaru Nakamura, Levy Rozman, and Alexandra Botez. Her content blends technical chess analysis with accessible commentary, covering everything from game reviews to AlphaZero analysis to variety streaming.
Rudolf is also known for the infamous 2007 "lipstick scandal" at the Vandoeuvre Open in France, where opponents accused her of hiding a computer in her lip balm. She passed a polygraph test, and the incident became one of the most memorable stories in modern chess history.
