Chessbrah

GM Streaming Duo

Chessbrah is one of the most recognizable chess entertainment brands online, co-founded by Canadian Grandmasters Eric Hansen and Aman Hambleton. What started as two friends sharing their screens while playing blitz has grown into a full-scale streaming and content operation with over 380,000 YouTube subscribers, 340,000 Twitch followers, and more than 200 million total YouTube views. The channel is known for blending high-level GM play with genuine entertainment, featuring everything from educational opening series to wild odds matches and impossible challenges.

Hansen, who earned his GM title in 2013, is widely regarded as one of the strongest bullet and blitz players in the world. Hambleton earned his GM title in 2018, becoming Canada's tenth Grandmaster. Together, they have built a community that attracts both serious players and casual fans. Their Twitch streams have surpassed 1 billion minutes watched and 40 million unique viewers, consistently ranking among the top chess channels on the platform.

Beyond streaming, Chessbrah has expanded into broadcasting and events. Hambleton has served as lead commentator for Chess.com at major events including the 2025 Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia and the 2024 FIDE Candidates fanzone in Toronto. The channel also runs chessbrah EXTRA, a secondary YouTube channel with additional content. Their mix of competitive play, humor, and accessibility has made Chessbrah a cornerstone of the chess content landscape.
