Greg Mustreader

Greg Mustreader is a Candidate Master, entrepreneur, and the host of Chess with Mustreader, one of the most distinctive interview-driven shows in the chess content space. Based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, he launched his YouTube channel and podcast in January 2024 and was named Chess.com Creator of the Month in May 2025.

The show's formula is simple but hard to replicate: bring in a world-class grandmaster, have a real conversation, then play blitz. His guest list includes Fabiano Caruana, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Wei Yi, Boris Gelfand, Peter Heine Nielsen, and Sagar Shah, among many others. Mustreader is multilingual, has traveled to more than 50 countries, and brings a genuine curiosity to every conversation rather than a rehearsed interview script.
