World-Class Grandmaster

Fabiano Caruana is an Italian-American Grandmaster, the reigning five-time United States Chess Champion, and one of the highest-rated players in chess history. Born in Miami, Florida in 1992, he earned his GM title at just 14 years old, becoming the youngest grandmaster of both the United States and Italy.

Caruana reached a peak rating of 2844, the third-highest ever recorded, behind only Garry Kasparov and Magnus Carlsen. He has claimed four consecutive US Championships (tying Bobby Fischer's record) and is competing in his sixth Candidates Tournament in 2026, entering as the betting favorite.
