Inoxtag

French Mega-Creator, PogChamps 6 Competitor, Chess Enthusiast

Inoxtag (born Inès Benazzouz, 2002) is one of France's most popular content creators, with close to 9 million YouTube subscribers and a massive cross-platform presence. He is best known for being the first YouTuber to climb Mount Everest, which he documented in his viral "Kaizen" series.

During his Everest preparation, Inoxtag discovered chess while isolated from his phone and the internet. The game stuck. In early 2025, he organized a chess event on his YouTube channel featuring eight streamers, drawing tens of thousands of viewers and showcasing chess to an entirely new audience across France and the French-speaking world.

In 2025, he competed in PogChamps 6, Chess.com's tournament for creators and celebrity athletes with a $100,000 prize fund. Coached by French International Master and content creator Julien Song, Inoxtag qualified for the quarterfinals, peaking at 45,000 simultaneous viewers during his match. His group-stage performance put him among the top three highest-rated players advancing to the Championship Bracket.

Inoxtag represents a growing category of mega-creators who are introducing chess to audiences that would never seek it out otherwise. His engagement with the game, while casual by classical standards, carries significant reach and cultural weight.
