FomoChess

FomoChess is a free fantasy chess app that puts a game layer on top of real chess tournaments. You draft a team of five professional chess players, they compete in actual events, and your squad earns points based on how they perform. Wins, upsets, draws, big moments: it all counts toward your score.

The draft splits available players into five categories: GMs, prodigies, streamers, FMs, and IMs. You pick one from each, which means your team has a real strategic dimension. The app supports major events including Titled Tuesday, Freestyle Friday, the US Chess Championship, the FIDE Grand Swiss, and the Global Chess League, so there is always something active to track.

FomoChess is aimed at chess fans who already follow the professional circuit and want more skin in the game. Whether you are a casual viewer who likes picking favorites or a competitive player with an edge on player form, the format works. The app is free to play and available on both iOS and Android, built by independent developer Gianluca Cantonetti.
