Chess Endgame Training

Chess Endgame Training is a free, dedicated endgame practice application that lets you work through thousands of positions organized by piece combination. You can practice pawns, bishops, knights, rooks, and queen endgames in both mate and draw scenarios for either color.

What sets this app apart is the engine quality: you play against Syzygy tablebases (which provide perfect endgame play) or Stockfish 16 NNUE. This means the opposition always plays optimally, which is exactly what you need for serious endgame improvement. The app tracks your personal records and includes a manual mode for exploring alternative lines.

The app is available as both a Progressive Web App (works offline in your browser) and an Android app. It includes Chessground board with drawing tools, multiple themes and piece styles, FEN/PGN clipboard functions, and Google Drive progress sync. It is completely free with no ads.
